Late Thakurdas Jaisinghani established Sind Electric Stores.
Thakurdas Jaisinghani's sons Girdhari T. Jaisinghani, Inder T. Jaisinghani, Ajay T. Jaisinghani, & Ramesh T. Jaisinghani started to manage the business.
The family formed a partnership firm named Thakur Industries in MIDC Andheri Mumbai, to set up a factory for manufacturing cables & wires.
'Polycab Industries' was registered as a small-scale industrial unit by the Directorate of Industries, Government of Gujarat.
The company was incorporated as Polycab Wires Private Limited at Mumbai.
Set up a facility for PVC-insulated power cables, house wires, telephone cables, optical fibre cables, switchboard cables and quad cables at Daman
Polycab broke its record & crossed INR 10,000 Mn. in revenue
The company broke its record once again & crossed INR 31,000 Mn. in revenue.
2013 was a milestone for Polycab as it forayed into the 'switches' segment, paving its path into the FMEG industry.
The company broadened its horizons & diversified into the fans and LED lighting segments, expanding its manufacturing facility for Miniature Circuit Breakers (MCB) at Nashik, Maharashtra
Company & Trafigura Pte. Ltd. formed a joint venture Ryker Base Private Ltd. To set up a copper rod manufacturing plant at Halol.
Polycab's capabilities expanded in Roorkee, Uttrakhand with the manufacturing of ceiling fans.
The company established a joint venture with Techno Electromech for the manufacturing of LED lighting products.
Company listed on the BSE & NSE, its Rs. 13450 million initial public offering (IPO) being subscribed 52 times.
Commenced manufacturing of Water heaters.
Bought out balance 50% stake in Ryker
Launched HOHM, an IoT-enabled system for smart homes
