Application

Medium Voltage (MV) Power Cables are specifically designed to transmit electrical power at medium voltage levels, typically ranging from 3.3 kV to 66 kV. These cables are commonly used in utilities, industries, power plants, and power distribution networks.

Polycab offers single and three-core medium voltage high tension cables, up to 66 kV, which can be used for power distribution, external and direct burial applications, underground installations, and cable ducting. These cables feature special grade XLPE insulation with a temperature rating of 90°C, ensuring long life and reliable performance.

 In addition to their electrical properties, these cables are designed to be UV resistant, resistant to chemical and weather exposure, and resistant to water (AD7/AD8 with HDPE). They are also termite resistant with a Polyamide layer, providing comprehensive protection in various challenging environments. Furthermore, these cables are also made available with halogen-free flame-retardant characteristics, offering continuous load support and extra protection against short circuits and fires.
